The exhibition Ping Pong brought together three artists, Toni McGreachan from the UK, Tanja Isbarn from Germany and Wia Stegeman from Holland who share the theme of water in their work. It continues the process of international exchange with like minded artists which begun when Toni was invited to show her work in Holland in 2006. The exhibition was funded by the Arts council of England and took place in February and March 2009. Although the exhibition had its starting point in the theme of water the works made new unexpected links with one another, themes which the artists had been working on separately including fragmentation and repetition. The exhibition had over 400 visitors, thank you to all those people that supported us – if you missed it check out the photos and catch the next one! We also had visits from local school Tidemill Primary and delivered a project with Boutchers CE Primary school, examples of the work can be seen under residencies. Links |
